This fighting system goes beyond the normal convention of a formalised martial art school.  Most traditional martial art systems teach a set format of skills that are typically classified and taught accordingly.  For example classical Kung Fu is very different from classical Karate which is very different from classical Ju Jitsu.  In recent years there has been a  trend for many schools to break away from a solely classical approach to fighting and to create a blend of different fighting styles and arts.  This has led to the expression of Mixed Martial Arts or MMA.  Of course many schools prefer to maintain a strictly classical approach to their own style but in the modern world MMA has rapidly caught the attention of young would-be warriors and people wanting to learn self defence.

Tara Miliata is a fighting system that maintains a strict classical approach under some of its instructors and a definite MMA approach under others.  What makes Tara Miliata so different from most other fighting systems is that it is really a cadre of warriors from around the world all bringing their skills and ideas together under one body.

Within Tara Miliata we can find great classical martial art stylists of 8th, 9th and 10th degree levels alongside 8th, 9th and 10th degree bull fighters who have also discovered the technique of facing an attacking enemy.  Fighters from the professional ring, alongside military fighters, alongside classical stylists and modern cage fighters all contribute to the Tara Miliata teaching system.

Tara Miliata is governed by the Celtimania Foundation whose aims include the discovery and the unting of the lost warrior tribes.  In fact, the word CELTS is an acronym for Connecting Europes Lost Tribal Societies.

CELTIMANIA FOUNDATION

History records a great ice age in the northern hemisphere 15,000 – 20,000 years ago.  The ice fields, up to 2km thick, descended down from northern Siberia.  The people of the land migrated southward and eventually eastward down into the Asian continents and westward to the Iberic peninsula.  As the warriors of the day continued to explore new lands in all directions the colonies followed.  Great stone monuments of astrological importance were erected by these ancient warrior tribes.  Stone ruins are discovered today from as far away as New Zealand in the south pacific to Stone Henge in the north.  Vast ruins were recently discovered under the ocean off the coast of Korea, showing again the movements and passages of the early tribes.

While we all stand in awe of the well known stones such as Stone Henge, we know little of the tribes that left them behind.

Within the lost secrets of the stones are many stories of great warriors.  Celtimania Foundation is a modern society of warriors that works to preserve both the history of long gone warriors while recognising the warriors that live amongst us in the modern day.
